So I started back at nursing school on Monday. It was very bittersweet to get back because I'm super excited to get to may and graduate but I was really gonna miss my family especially my brother. I left Katy on Saturday morning after breakfast with my dad, brother and Kim. Drew and I just chilled for the rest of the weekend we just want to be home and sleep in. I had a senior meeting on Monday which I finally got my graduation date which is May 11th in Waco and my pinning ceremony is May 10th. Sadly, the 10th is a Thursday morning idk why cause all the parents are working then but of course my dad will be there. We also found out about how to apply for our licence and it felt so real. We don't have class till 1230 on Monday's which is seriously one of the most exciting things. It is leadership and management which isn't the most excited class, but c'est la vive. On Tuesday we have human needs which was literally lets scare the bajizzes our of us. The professor recommended that we study for our Hesi approximately 2-4 hours and suggested that we cut out sleep. Ha like that is gonna happen. I did go get my text books and study guides because our current one's have very little review questions. Abby and I also found this fantastic book with little memory hits. Today was my first clinical day. I have community clinical Wednesday and Thursday from 0800-1700. On Wednesday we are mostly at CC Young doing things such as teaching, talking, interacting, and blood pressure screens. I have always dreading working with older people but they seem so excited for us and are so nice that it made me excited. I also will gladly appreciate the practice with blood pressure screenings. On Thursday, we are send to different locations such as Helping hands clinic, BUMC employment clinic, cornerstone, TOTs clinic and an experience in school nursing. So after today I am more excited for community clinic minus the paperwork. I also already can tell that my clinical instructors are just amazing. Well one more day of my week and then off to waco for the weekend. Drew got our of driving again cause Baylor is leading us take pictures with the heismen and we have a basketball game. Only 120 days till graduation. WE CAN DO IT !!!
Love Elisabeth
