Job Update and Easter Weekend

It seems like everyone is getting a job except for me. Everyday on fb a new person posts that they accepted a job and I just seem to be going nowhere. I have had 2 interviews at All Saints so hopefully odds will be in my favor. I really would love to work in either labor and delivery or NICU! I really think it was a God thing that I had my internship at all saints because I LOVE it there. I love L & D it is such an amazing feeling being that support person in someone's life. I love coaching the women through each contraction and encouraging them every step of  the way but I still have an intensive love and passion for the NICU. I finally got to see a mother interacting with her newborn in the NICU last week. It was so precious. I think that these to positions are my last chance of staying in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. I also have heard nothing from Houston which worries me further. At least last weekend I got to take a nice break and enjoy myself.

Friday-  I got home from the hospital late because I waited to take to the manager and thank her for this amazing opportunity. I talked to my mom the whole drive which  was not super bad.  When I pulled into the parking garage my phone rang it was the Baylor Recruiter. We scheduled an interview and of course I was so excited I couldn't sleep. Drew got here about 12 and woke me up :( I packed and we got ready to leave to run my errands before we left town. I had to drop off my suit to get pressed and pick up my NRP text book. We got sonic for lunch. The tater tots were so fresh. We  left for Lake Charles around 3. The drive was soo long but I did get to take a 2 hour nap in the car. We stopped at walmart for mixers and a cake for Micheal. We got to Lake Charles about 930 and were straving. Meaghan tried to find us a resturant and we drove around looking for it. We even when it a resturant called billy bobs steamhouse but it smelled horriable so we left. After driving around for a good hour we ended up at Chilis. After we ate we went back to the hotel and were exhausted so we crashed.

Saturday- I have no clue why but I woke up at 830 in the morning. I didn't want to be awake alone so of course I pestered my boyfriend and woke him up. He was ready to murder me. Micheal woke up shortly after and did a dangerous thing and woke up Meaghan. We decided breakfast sounded good , so we went to waffle house. It was such a good decision because it was delicious. Drew and I shared a chocolate chip waffle and eggs, hash browns and toast. After we were done eating we went on the search for a good place to fish. Micheal likes to fish. We found a little area that was sort of nice but slightly sketch. It had a lot of trash.

Meaghan and I were ready to go after an hour but the boys weren't. Drew catch a fish that I named barker because we was literally barking. Micheal killed him to use as bait. :( That is when Meaghan and I discovered crabs. We had a good time trying to catch them and feeding them the shrimp that some random guys gave us. Meaghan was such they were gonna kill us. After fishing we went back to the room and went swimming in our pool for a little while. While Meaghan and Micheal were getting showered, Drew and I fell asleep and took a nice nap. We all ended up sleeping till 6-7 ish and were once again starving. I had been promised my seafood buffet so we got dressed up and headed to the l'aburge casino. Meaghan and I were really sun burnt which we did not realize earlier. We took a few nice pictures outside of our hotel and then several more at the casino in fort of a fountain.

The buffet was great. I had my fair share of crab but the best thing was the coconut shrimp it was amazing. The dessert were good too,  I just sampled off of Drew's. Micheal made Meaghan try frog legs after which she was no longer hungry. lol After we ate we walked around the casino and walked outside and finally left for Isle of Capris where were going to actual gamble.

We first went to the slots and basically lost a few dollars, than we hit roulette which I like but I am not made to gamble. It is hard for me to put money on the table and have a chance to lose it. Drew and I gambled together and actually won !!! We would pick dates and then bet on the colors. Meaghan lost her money:( but  Micheal did play poker and won 270 dollars!!! Around 3 we were done and ready to go home and to sleep. We left pretty early Sunday morning since we had a long long drive.
