4 months

Weight: 12lbs 6oz (13 percentile for weight)

Height: 23.75 (19 percentile for height)

Likes: standing, caterpillar rattle, links, her pirate octopus, cuddling with mommy, swimming, being flat on her back especially on the changing table, her hands car rides, being held or carried, bouncing on the exercise ball, jelly and peanut (lovies)

Dislikes: being hungry, overtired, scary noises, being hot, being lonely and bored all of these from last month and also putting her arms in clothing, burping, mommy going to work, tummy time, bath time, breaking her latch before she is done, We call her 0 to 100 because her attitude changes that fast ( she has gotten very opinionated this month)

Hair: brownish blonde

Eyes: blue

Clothes: Still in 3-6 months, and she has TONS of clothes in the size group so I am really enjoying dress up

Diapers: Still in size 1 but almost ready for size 2 ( she has a big booty)

Milestones: She has really found her voice, she will just lay on her back talking to herself. She makes loud squels and every once in a while you can catch a giggle. She is ticklish on her tummy, toes and neck. She has the biggest little grin and I LOVE IT. Still a huge fan of her hands, sometimes when she is sucking on them she will stop and get upset until she either refinds her hands or you help her. We have been really working on doing more tummy time ( her head is kinda flat) and now she can really pull herself up with her elbows and is starting to roll over. She has done it just a handful of times and sometimes when she does it, it scares her.We also had our first little infection just a quick little virus 2 weeks ago.  She is doing much better now. She also is a major spitter now hopefully not reflex, We also had our first "modeling shoot" as a mermaid. It was a little fb contest with Sky Hats and TWB designs and we were chosen to come and dress like a mermaid and get her picture taken. It was also her first Fourth of July, we had a wonderful day at Meaghan's house with her nephew and family.

Eating: Breastfeeding :) She still gets bottles while I am at work but not a big fan and seems she would rather cluster feed when I get home. I am so proud to say she has exclusively breastfed for 4 months!!! We have a ton frozen as well close to 900oz. We have days where she eats every 1.5 hours ( mostly after I work) and other days where we can go a nice 3 hour stretch. We had her 4 month appt today and the doctor is started to be concerned about her weight so starting tonight we will be walking her up for a night feed.He also said she could be just a tiny little baby.

Sleeping: She is still sleeping through the night mostly, every once and a while she wakes up for a nighttime snack. However napping is a nightmare. It extremely hard to get her to settle down for naps. I try everything I can think of  a routine, rocking, swing, singing, nursing but especially if she is overtired its not easy. When I finally get her to sleep she only sleeps for 30 mins max most of the time its a 5 min cat nap. The only thing that consistently works is swimming and the car. We still do her bedtime routine but about 2 weeks ago she started HATING bath time. She would scream like she was on fire. After many suggestions from family and friends, We tried a few different strategies and found 2 that work.First is bathing with her in our big tub and second is just placing her in 1-2 inches of water and letting her lay on her back. If we have a bad nap time day, she doesn't go to bed easily. I'm really trying to work on her taking naps in the crib and starting a rough schedule.

apparently playing with Ellie was very tiring

Momma: Both Dad and I had the flu two weeks ago. Being sick and a mommy was a whole new experience but we survived. I'm still working part time and mostly fridays and sundays. It works wonderfully. I considering it such a blessing to have this little girl. I could babble and laugh with her all day every day.

Daddy: Daddy is doing the same, finally over that nasty flu and his HORRIBLE cough. Still a huge help and he even cleaned the entire house on Saturday. Superdad :) He loves coming home to his little girl and playing fun little games with her and rocking her to sleep at night.

Friends: We had tons of playdates this month.  Ellie went on a little trip so we didnt see her for a few weeks but we did have a playdate before we left and they were actually interacting with each other. Baby talk and smiling it was precious. We also took the girls swimming together. Ellie had to show off her amazing swim skills. We saw Reese on Fourth of July. We hung out with our cousin Grey at grandma Kims house and went to Chili's for dinner. We also had a play date with Clara at Panera mostly just baby smiles across the table. We also have had many interactive play dates with some older kids from our mommy group. We have such a wonderful time even if Izzy is the baby of the group.

Happy 4 months old Izzy
